The Meaning Behind Pura Vida
The phrase “Pura Vida” means “pure life”—a philosophy rooted in my Costa Rican heritage that embraces resilience, joy, and gratitude even in the face of challenges. Costa Ricans, or “Ticos,” value family, community, and a deep connection to nature. This same spirit guides my therapeutic approach, fostering hope, healing, and transformation for individuals, couples, and families.
